Fall Decorations

Oh I love this time a year when the shops are getting their fall decorations out. Halloween is my favorite holiday! So on Sunday Aug. 15th we went to Gold 'n Country Gifts in Weyauwega. WI Oh what a great shop, she has a lot of metal garden art to choose from and believe me it's hard to choose. We really enjoy going to her shop her motto is to repurpose/ reuse. You can really find awesome stuff there from antiques, primitives, used furniture and of course her metal garden art. I bought this awesome milk can with a pumpkin face cut out and an oil can that also has a pumpkin face cut out. I'll be going back there to shop.

Crazy Days in Tomah, WI

On Aug.7th my niece and I went to Tomah, WI for crazy days. We kinda got lost on our way there but we figured it out it was kinda like going around the block.LOL. They have some nice primitive shops in Tomah. We went to Gatherings by Cranberries'n Such, and found a lot of good deals I purchased a lot of towels, placemats, napkins (great for tucking in baskets, bowls, and using under center pieces. I also got some pottery. Then we went to Country Spirit (www.shopcountryspirit.com) They have awesome outdoor items and hand painted pictures N such. I found some beautiful fall flowers there and some spring decorations that were 1/2 off. What a deal! We continued on down Superior St. and went to The Market Place (www.marketplacetomah.com) this is my favorite primitive shop she has two floors just packed to the brim. Oh what to buy! She has primitives and extreme primitives, a lot of her items are handcrafted and her displays are awesome. I spent way to much money. After shopping at her shop we headed back up Superior St. and stopped at the Cranberry Country Mall before heading home. At the Cranberry Country Mall you will find Lucy's Lazy Dayz (lucyslazydayzprimitives.com) boy does she have wonderful handcrafted dolls and makedo's can't leave there without picking up something.
We wanted to go to Princeton after we were done in Tomah but we spent to much time at the shops there so we didn't make it. (not enough time in a day) We will plan another day to go to Princeton to the flea market and antique shops. You have to go there a least once during the summer months.

Happy Birthday Aunt Tootie

Happy 80th Birthday Aunt Tootie!
Today was a wonderful day! We went to Uncle Bruce and Aunt Tootie's farm for a Birthday surprise. All of her children were there and some of her grandchildren and my sisters and their family. It was a great celebration we had awesome food, some good drinks and great conversation. Aunt Tootie read all of her birthday cards out loud and made us all cry, it was suppose to be a joyous occasion but when Aunt Tootie would choke up you couldn't help the tears from flowing. At least it wasn't raining! But it defiantly was hot! I hope you have many more birthdays to come! So here's to you ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Love Robin

This is what it said in her birthday card that I gave her I thought it fit her to a tee.
Hope you'll find time to sit back for a minute to savor your world and the Happy things in it...

The love and the friendship (the ice cream and cake!) the things you believe in, the difference you make...

The smiles and the laughter, the good that you do, the work and the fun and the dreams that come true...

The Pleasure of just being Wonderful You! Happy Birthday!
Aunt Tootie is my last living aunt and she is a wonderful person with a big heart, she has a great sense of humor, she works hard, she's always there for you, always, always has a hug for you and her laugh is contagious!

Please take the time to cherish the memories with family and friends and wish them a Happy Birthday! Prim Blessings! Robin from The Primitive Hutch

ART in the Park, Appleton WI

Today my sister and I went to ART in the Park in Appleton, WI. What a lot of talented artist, Kudos to them. We saw a lot of unique and one of a kind artists, some stood out more than others. It is fun and exciting to watch some of them do their art right there and then see the end results. The weather was perfect today! No rain in sight. I bought a few items from the show today so hard to choose I wish I could have bought more. Going to shows like this gives you so much inspiration.

I met a little girl Kaili she is going to grow up to be an artist! What a talented girl she was trying her hand at the portrait drawing. Kaili you keep practicing and someday I will see you in one of the booths at ART in the Park! Thanks for letting me take your picture. Your Awesome!

Remove Formatting from selection
Hello to Everyone! Sorry I haven't blogged for awhile. Been very busy. Since my last post we had Yesterday in the Park June 26th (4th of July celebration) Great food, awesome music and spectacular fireworks! Then it was the big 4th of July weekend of course had to go to some flea markets! Found some awesome antique door knobs for my pinkeep bunnies. I've also been trying to work on some more creations for the store. I did add about 20 more signs and some more homespun items. ~ENJOY!~ We've also had the grand kids baseball games to go to. And then there is the rain! It has been raining off and on now for the last week. Some storms more severe then others, my husband has been taking pictures I'll try to post some for you to see. Of course as I started blogging it was raining now when I look outside it looks like it has stopped, maybe I should go for a bike ride quick before it starts again.

Looks like this weekend is going to be a busy one again. We have a family reunion on my husbands side to go to on Sat. and then on Sun. we are going to go to Art in the Park in Appleton WI. Doesn't that sound like Fun!

Well it's been fun! I'll write again soon! Prim Blessings Robin

Primitive Hutch has been open for 1 month!

Hello Everyone! Today is another Day. Not just another day but a good day, not only has The Primitive Hutch been open for 1 month but it is also my Birthday! Wow another year older! Hopefully this year is as good as the last. It's been a busy year trying to set up the web site and looking at other avenues. Looking for other artist and crafters to put some of their wares on my web site, I'm hoping a very talented artist that lives right next door to me does some beautiful paintings and more to add to the site. She does some awesome painted ornaments too! Keep watching!
My honey of a husband is cooking some awesome food on the grill tonight for my birthday so I'm trying to write this post quick before he says its ready. I have a lot of cakes and treats the kids and grand kids brought over to.
I would like to thank everyone for reading my post and visiting my web site, Thanks in advance for your support.
I better get busy, I have some doll patterns and other projects to get done.
Have a Great Day! Prim Blessing! ~ Robin from The Primitive Hutch ~

Hello to everyone!

Hello to everyone out there in cyber world! I'm new at this so please bear with me.
I've just opened my first web site and I'm very excited about it. I opened my store The Primitive Hutch, May 17th 2010. I carry primitive hand-crafted items in my store. I don't have alot to offer at this time but hopefully we will grow. I have a good friend Mary who is joining me on this journey she makes the lotion bars and I might add they are wonderful! She also has some other plans in the making so please watch for more exciting items coming soon! I would also like to Thank Sunset Hill Stoneware for providing me with some awesome needful pottery. (not only do they help me out with the pottery I also work there so I see the creations unfold.) I will be adding some more signs soon to the web site (as soon as the hubby gets out his camera) For now please enjoy the web site and visit often! Any feed-back would be greatly appreciated. Prim Blessings! Robin www.primitivehutch.com
