Today the Dale Area Leaders & Entrepreneurs were sponsoring a
"Blanket Day to Benefit Project Linus"
So I packed up my sewing scissors and headed down to the town hall to help make blankets.
Project Linus is a non-profit organization that provides new, handmade washable blankets, quilts,and afghans to children ages 0 - 18 who are seriously ill traumatized, or otherwise in need.
Volunteers known as "blanketeers" hand-make the blankets during organized community events.
Yes even men were there helping cut fabric, tying and doing whatever needed to be done.
It was a very fun filled and rewarding day!!!
When I left the group had made over 125 blankets!!!
