It Was A Beautiful Day ~

Yesterday!!!
The sun was shining and it was fairly warm so we took our Granddaughter Keyarra snowmobiling!
She had a blast ~
I let her drive my snowmobile ~ I must admit I was a little nervous ~ but she did a wonderful job!

I love to go for rides out in the country
There is so much to see that you can't see from the roads.
To me it's breathtaking ~

Going through the woods with the sun shining through the trees ~

I never tire of taking pictures of old barns

or old sheds ~ it still has some of its lighting rods ~

Keyarra and Grandpa waiting for me to get done taking pictures ~

It's just so peaceful ~ I want to take it all in ~

and you don't see this every day ~

Today was another story ~
Snowstorm Carol arrived today~

This is what it looked like out my sewing room window ~

Here comes Honey ~ home from work ~

Oh Happy Spring!!!

Happy first day of Spring Everyone!!!

It's been spring like here in WI for the past week ~ such Beautiful weather we've been having!!!
I've tried to be outside as much as I can.
I've been taking my projects outside to work on them while soaking up the sun!!!

We got our bikes out ~ pumped up the tires ~ oiled our chains!
Keyarra and I went for a bike ride around the park!

Taught Keyarra how to roller blade!  She did great on her first day!!!

Took the dogs for a walk and let them play in the creek!  Such a beautiful day!!!

Played at the park with some neighbor hood kids!
(Keyarra wanted me to get a picture of her jumping off the swing)
The girl on the left is Mackenzie.
Mason!  He wanted me to go get some chicken wings! LOL  Such a cutie!!!

Our days have been filled ~ we feel very blessed!
We even got to see some beautiful sunsets!

Keyarra's Stitching!

I think I got it now!  Down loading pictures from my camera that is.  I got a new camera for Christmas and I'm not very computer smart and I'm still trying to figure this all out.

I promised you pictures of Keyarra doing her stitchery when she spent the night last week.  She worked so hard on this and hopefully learned a little something.  She picked out a picture from her coloring book, traced it onto paper then traced it onto muslin.  We then layered it with batting, and put it in a hoop.  She picked out  the colors she wanted to use on her design.
She did all the stitching by herself (all I did was start it for her and untangle her knots).

Here is Keyarra stitching in Grandpa's chair.  She said she wanted to sit here because that's where I sit when I do stitching.
When she got done she colored in the design with crayons, picked out a pretty pink backing and we stitched it into a pillow.  Here is her finished design.
I hope you all enjoy your day and happy stitching to you!

Christmas Blues

I think I was going through the Christmas Blues.  Christmas was such a rush and it happened to fast. It was here and then it was gone.  For days after Christmas I was lazy and didn't want to do anything.  It had to be the Christmas Blues!   I didn't know what to do.
So yesterday I had my Grand daughter Keyarra come over to spend the night.   We had a ball!  We made cookies, baked a cake in her easy bake oven lol, made some more peanut butter balls (they are her favorite) played sorry and guess who, painted each other nails, watched movies and I taught her how to stitch.  She traced a picture from her coloring book and wrote her name under it, then she traced her design onto fabric and picked out her colors, I got her started and she did most of it on her own(I had to get the knots out) but she had fun and she learned something new.  As soon as I get the pictures down loaded from my camera I will show you all her finished product.
Now I feel better and full of energy I think that's what I needed, just some time to feel like a child again!
I've been reading every ones blog and it looks like most of you had a wonderful Christmas and I'm happy for you.  To the few that were sick or had lost a loved one, I pray for you and hope for a quick recovery.
I hope your New Year is better and brighter! Prim Blessings! Robin
