I've found a New Love!

Morning Friends!

 

Yesterday I took a working with wool class over at Primitive Gatherings in Menasha.

Oh I soooo Love that wonderful little quilt shop ~ they have soooo many beautiful bolts of fabric and wools ~ I just drool every time I go in there.

 

Any Who ~ I took this class and we had a blast ~ Lisa the owner of Primitive Gatherings was our instructor.  It was so nice meeting her in person ~ I follower her blog and I visit her shop often, but have never met her.

 

This is the project that we learned in class ~

Such a wonderful project for spring!

There was so much to learn to make one of these mats ~ I hope I can remember everything she taught us.  I'm very fortunate that if I have a problem I can take it to the shop to get help.

 

There was 12 of us girls taking the class and 3 of them came all the way from Iowa ~ how fun is that.

When we were done learning the basics and everything else ~ Lisa took us on a tour through their warehouse to see how they do everything from designing patterns, dyeing the wool and setting up booths for the shows. She also showed us where everything is stored for wholesale orders and retail orders ~ it was huge!  I couldn't believe all the product they had.

Lisa let us browse through the retail section and if there was anything we liked we could purchase it for additional 10 percent off.  Oh heck Yeah ~ I'm going to find something and something I did!!!

This is what I bought.

So yes I found a New Love!!!

I'm so glad I did!!!

Today looks like it's going to be a beautiful day ~

 

The sun is trying to show itself.

The clouds are breaking up to reveal blue skies ~ Yippee!!!

The breezes are warmer today and the temp says it 50 out right now.

Oh it's going to be a Beautiful Day!!!

 

Not much else going on in this neck of the woods. I have some friendship bread I have to bake and then I want to work on my table mat before I have to go to work.

~Treasures~

If you are like me ~ we Love our treasures.

Joy of collecting ~ the thrill of the hunt.

I Love to go treasure hunting. 

During the winter months I will venture out to an antique store/shop.

In the summer months you find me at flea markets.

Recently I went treasure hunting.

Here's some of the treasures I found.

I've never seen anything like it ~ so prim perfect.

She made me a  prim box and recipe holder complete with a recipe for biscuits. Yum

Update ~ Winter Storm Denise ~ in WI

After raining all day yesterday ~ Winter Storm Denise started rolling in around one in the morning.

I woke up to temps around the 30's and snowing like crazy.

Remember the pic I showed yesterday of the small pond forming in the backyard?

Here's what it looks like now!

I believe we have around 7" ~ and doesn't look like it's going to stop any time soon.

Here's some more pic's of Winter Storm Denise.

My husband was at work and heading home  ~ oh my gosh ~ the snowplows haven't been out and the end of the driveway is full of snow.  I had to go and shovel enough so he could get in the end of the driveway.  Here is where the car sits until I have to leave for work.

It is 3:45 now and I have to be to work at 5:00 ~ and it's still snowing!

Oh I hope it ends soon ~ but it doesn't look like it.  Weather men says maybe around midnight ~ UGH!!!

I need some Sunshine!

It's been some kind of weird weather we've been having lately.

One day it is bitter cold and then the next it is snowing or raining.

Today it's warm 47 degrees ~ and foggy ~ kinda like spring.

I have a small pond forming in my backyard.

But storm Denise is suppose to be rolling in and dumping some more snow on us.

Depending on which weather man you listen to we're suppose to get anywhere from 2 to 12 inches.

You know with the warm temps that it's going to be the wet heavy stuff ~ yuk!

I REALLY NEED SOME SUNSHINE!

I'm sorry I haven't been around much.

I've been working on things for my website, my booths, and swap goodies.

I also thinking about putting items in another shop.

Plus I've been working and doing those dreaded taxes ~ did I ever tell you I hate doing taxes!!!

I REALLY NEED SOME SUNSHINE!!!

Recently I did receive some sunshine in the mail ~ Yahoo!!!

Still Snowing in WI

Oh my gosh it started snowing lightly yesterday morning and as the day progressed the bigger and harder it started to snow. 

Like being in a snow globe!

 

When I awoke this morning it was still snowing ~ WHAT????

We were only suppose to get 1 - 2 inches of snow!

I just love it when the snow sits on the pine boughs ~ like a Christmas card!
