Happy Anniversary!!!

Hello Friends!
Today is our Anniversary!!!
We've been married for 22 years.
Like most couples the road hasn't always been smooth.
We've made it this far and we have two beautiful children and three adorable grand babies!!!
Unless you want to count my daughters babies (which are her animals) we have 6 adorable grand babies!!!
We both have wonderful families and they are always around for support and when ever we need a helping hand.
We are Blessed!

So today Honey I wish you a Happy Anniversary!!!  I LOVE YOU!!!!
Why did I post a funny pic of my Husband ~ you ask
Because my Husband is not here with me today ~ he is on a boat in Belize scuba diving.

If you would like to see where he is or what he might see you can view it here ~

The miracle of Love,
Like the miracle of spring,
Is an everlasting promise
Of the joys that life can bring.

Today it is a Beautiful day ~ the sun is shining and the temps are warm.
It truly is a Spring day ~ just like when we got married!!!

Today I will also be celebrating the marriage of my nephew Adam and his new wife Sarah.

May Faith, Hope and Love
be your constant companions
in the years ahead.

Best Wishes to Both of You!

On that note I better get going ~ I have a wedding to get ready for!!!

Oh it's going to be a Beautiful day!!!

Until Next Time!
Give someone a hug and tell them you Love them!!!
Prim Blessings

Saved from the Landfill ~

Hi Prim Friends!!!
Over the weekend I had an opportunity to go through a house that was going to be ripped down. All contents in the home was going to the landfill.

I was so excited ~ but sad at the same time.
The husband had passed and the wife/Mom was put into a nursing home.  The kids didn't want anything that was left in the home or the home itself.
A friend of ours works for a company that does odd jobs, landscaping and removal etc...
So of course I'm going to go ~ I love to go pickin'!

I was amazed at the condition of the home.  There was a lot of dust and cob webs,
to be blunt it looked like a hoarders home.
This is going to be a dirty job!!!

Here's some of the goodies I found ~
I have a fetish for oil cans ~ my sweet husband found these.

vintage bottles and pans

red handled kitchen ware

vintage scissors

hat pins

crystal egg/veggie serving tray

Thought this was kinda unique ~ I collect tin ware

My husband found this and thought I would like this ~ heck yeah!!!

These tin boxes are kinda beat up ~ but I really liked them.

vintage washboard

&
a tin box filled with vintage keys

There were other items we found  ~ vintage wooden rulers, old metal gas cans, bushel baskets and vintage mirrors to name a few.

I really did have fun and would love to do that again.
Thanks so much Chris and Jane for letting us tag a long.

Did you see anything you liked???

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Until Next Time
Save something from going to the landfill!

Dreaming in Wisconsin!!!

What am I dreaming of here in Wisconsin you ask???
I'm dreaming of Spring of course!!!
This is what I woke up to this fine Wednesday morning ~
It rained all day yesterday and all through the night.
It lightening and thundered and the temps started to drop.
So I woke up to everything covered not with snow but with ICE!

Lets take a look around ~
(click on pics to enlarge to get a better view)

I'm Dreaming of warm spring breezes ~

I'm Dreaming of the smell after a gentle rain ~

I'm Dreaming of fresh linens on the line~

I'm Dreaming of seeing the first buds of life to appear ~

I'm Dreaming of walking barefoot in the soft grass ~

I'm Dreaming of sowing those first seeds ~

I'm Dreaming of warmth from the sun ~

I'm Dreaming of watching the birds build their nests ~

Then my power went out while I was writing this post and everything went dark ~
Oh No ~ the sump pump isn't running ~ after that everything spiraled out of control!
I had to carry buckets of water out of the basement to keep the water from flowing into the furnace,
After a couple of times of going up and down the steps the steps got slippery ~
Yep you guessed it ~
I fell down the steps
I landed face first into the concrete floor
I was soaked ~ the water was pass my ankles
I'm so Thankful I didn't get knocked out ~ because they probably would of put it on the news about some women that drowned in her basement!!!
I managed to crawl up the steps ( it was soooooo dark) and call my son for help.
(Thank-You Michael!!!)
I'm O.K. ~ My face is scraped up, I have a fat lip, my whole right side of my body is bruised along with my pride. Tomorrow will be another day ~ we'll see how I feel then.

We're suppose to get hit with another storm tonight ~ Ugh
There are some people in our surrounding areas that still don't have power ~ I pray for them ~ please be safe.

With all that I'm signing off ~

Until Next Time

Let's all say a prayer
for all the people around the country
that have been hit by some nasty storms today.
Be safe my Friend!

Blessings
Robin

Enjoy it while you can!

I was going to write this post yesterday ~ but the time just seemed to slip by.
On Sunday the sun was trying to peek out now and then.
So I decided I was going to enjoy it while I could.
I took one of our dogs ~ Dolly for a walk around the walking trail behind our home.
The creek was flowing freely~
Even though there isn't much color I still think it makes a pretty picture.
Soon the snow will be all melted and everything will turn green.

We saw a few Robin's
plump as could be!!!

This scene caught my eye ~
so many colors ~ a true sign of spring!

There were lots of children playing in the park as we rounded the bend.
Even though they had to wear their winter coats, hats and mittens.
Oh I'm just patiently waiting for the temps to warm up.
Today is a gloomy rainy day ~ doesn't look like we're going to see the sunshine for a while.
So if you have some sunny skies ~ Enjoy it while you can!!!

I did finish up some little rag dolls and my America pinkeep ~
The rag doll was made from a pattern I got from Jackie ~ T.F.C. Folk Art
The America x-stitch pattern is from Nan ~ Threadwork Primitives

So much to do and so little time!
Until Next Time
We're patiently waiting for
spring to truly arrive!
