Oh Baby, Its Cold Outside!

It is sunny out but very cold outside today.  They are saying it is -12 degrees with the wind chill it is -30 degrees.  So yes baby, Its Cold Outside!  Even Jack Frost was working overtime last night.
My lucky husband left at 2:00 am this morning to go scuba diving in the Bahamas. I know the question WHY didn't you go?  Because I don't scuba dive :(  and I don't think I could handle being out on a ship in the middle of the ocean for a whole week surround with sharks!  He will be there for the week and he will also be there for his 50th birthday on Jan. 27th.  Now how lucky is that?
The ship he will be on is called the Morning Star.
So I'm staying home and I'm going to try to create my own little bit of sunshine! I put this grouping together hoping I could make it feel like spring!

My plans while he is gone is to Craft and Create!
Watch the football game on Sunday! GO PACK GO!
&
Craft and create some more!
I'll clean the house the day before he gets home!
Doesn't that sound like a plan?

Snow Storm Bella!

What a snowy day we had today!  They are calling it Snow Storm Bella.  It started to snow early this morning and quit around supper time.  I hope that is it for a while, my arms are still sore from shoveling last week.  This is what it looked like this morning ~ looking out into our back yard.
In the distance you can see the covered bridge that crosses over the creek. This is a beautiful walking trail that is behind our house.  I can also see this view from my craft room ~ very pretty in any season.

I went to JoAnn fabrics  yesterday and found some good deals and some fabric for spring projects.
I wish they carried more vintage/prim fabrics in their stores.  Guess I have to make a trip to Primitive Gatherings to find what I'm looking for.

I am going to be having a Giveaway soon!  I said when I reached 25 or more followers I would do one.  Looks like I achieved that today.  Thanks to all that Follow Me~it's great to have friends and know that I am not all alone through this learning experience.    Details will be coming soon! Until then~Prim Blessings! Robin

Keyarra's Stitching!

I think I got it now!  Down loading pictures from my camera that is.  I got a new camera for Christmas and I'm not very computer smart and I'm still trying to figure this all out.

I promised you pictures of Keyarra doing her stitchery when she spent the night last week.  She worked so hard on this and hopefully learned a little something.  She picked out a picture from her coloring book, traced it onto paper then traced it onto muslin.  We then layered it with batting, and put it in a hoop.  She picked out  the colors she wanted to use on her design.
She did all the stitching by herself (all I did was start it for her and untangle her knots).

Here is Keyarra stitching in Grandpa's chair.  She said she wanted to sit here because that's where I sit when I do stitching.
When she got done she colored in the design with crayons, picked out a pretty pink backing and we stitched it into a pillow.  Here is her finished design.
I hope you all enjoy your day and happy stitching to you!
