Girls Weekend Away!

Hello Friends!!!
I was going to post this the other day ~ but we had a terrible storm blow through our area and we lost our power ~ and now I'm playing catch up.
(I'll post about this another day)

This post is loaded with pics so PLEASE bear with me.

We had a wonderful time just us girls ~
The Antique market was so worth the trip!!!

Let's hit the road and see what its all about ~
Going through Chicago ~ The skyline

We saw a bad accident ~ UPS truck lost control ~ Thank God nobody got hurt.

The traffic was backed upped for miles and I mean miles!!!
We were so glad we weren't going that way.

On Friday we stayed at the Patchwork Quilt Bed & Breakfast in Middlebury Indiana

They had a beautiful barn  ~ where you can have your wedding ceremony.
They were going to have one on Sat. ~ oh I wish I could of stayed.

Loved the outhouse ~ such a perfect touch!

This fireplace was grand!!!

We stopped at the Old Creamery Antiques ~ Middlebury Indiana
We found a few treasures!

Went for a walk in a beautiful park ~ Middlebury Indiana

Saturday we headed to Shipshewana to the Antique Market
I would defiantly do this again !!!
Let's go see what they have to offer ~
Would love to have one ~ is there room in the van???

These child's cupboard seem to be popular ~ we saw a lot of them.

needles ~ shuttles & bobbins tin

spinning wheels

Child's things ~

A few of my favorite things!

teddy ~ $48.00

Old tools and such ~

My daughter liked this straw stuffed pig ~ around the $200 range.

For the Lincoln lovers ~ oh my!!!

For the toy lover ~ I think the American Pickers would like this!!!

Wouldn't you love to have this in your sewing room???

I thought this was unique!

Be still my heart!

Butter Churn ~

Shipshewana was such a lovely town with many beautiful flower displays
and shops
You could even ~
go for a buggy ride!

Oh I wished I could stay  ~ but I'll be back another day!!!

Sunday we headed to St. Joseph near Benton Harbor MI
We attended Antiques on the Bluff
We were a little disappointed in this show
it has been better in the past.
But I did see this
perfect for me
Don't you think???
I would put it on my new garden shed!!!
It was only ~ $668.00

After the show we headed towards home
we stopped in La Porte, IN
We met Krystal from
Freckle Farm Primitives and Antiques
and
stopped at the Coachman Antique Mall
Yep ~ we found a few more treasures to add to our stash!
This is what the van looked liked before we shopped
After shopping we had to take everything out of the van and rearrange a bit!
I think we did good!!!

I'm tired lets get home shall we ~
Traffic was horrible at times we were only going 15 mph.
Yuk!!!

Now for the good part ~
My Treasures ~

I got this awesome blue cabinet from Krystal
Freckle Farm Primitives and Antiques

I was tickled to find the Lincoln bank bottle with original top.
I got these wonderful prim treasures at
A Thankful Heart
Shipshewana, IN
Sadly I couldn't take any pics of their shop
they didn't allow it.

Oh ~ what to bring home for the hubby???
I thought these were funny
I bought myself some new jammies too!

What a fun post! So many great goodies you found! John insisted 2 years ago that we trade in our large van for a small SUV which is worthless when it comes to wanting to buy a prim cabinet or some such thing : (
