Still picking up the pieces ~

after last weeks storm ~
6 tornado's were confirmed on Aug 7th, 2013

As promised here's some photos of last weeks storm.
We didn't have any damage ~
but surrounding communities did.
We were just without power for a day.
Boy I must say you don't realize how much you rely on electricity until you don't have any.
Some people and businesses are still dealing with the aftermath.

I was thankful that no one was seriously hurt during this storm.
No one had any warning that this storm was approaching our area.
The lightening was horrendous ~ it was like being on a dance floor with a strobe light blinking.

Until Next Time

Stay safe my friend

Prim Blessings
Robin

Hi Robin,
Oh my!!! The destruction shown in your photos is just unbelievable!!! So very sorry for those folks who suffered damage! Happy it bypassed you but know the feeling of loss of power! We were without it for 5 days and it felt like an eternity!! Those storms can come out of nowhere so quickly!
Hope things get restored soon!

Oh Robin i am so glad you did not get damage, tornadoes are really scary. And sometimes so unpredictable. Being that I live in the wonderful state that seems to get more then our share of those storms, my heart aches for anyone that goes through them

So glad you and yours are okay. Tornadoes and hurricanes scare me! I'll take an earthquake over those!

There have been too many lately. I feel so bad for those who have lost loves ones and everything they own.

Glad those nasty storms passed you up. We lost power in that big blackout that happened 10 years ago here in Michigan. No power for a few days...really living the prim life than. I had a tornado rip through near my parents house growing up..it was devastating. I always pray that one hits that everyone is safe in its path. Take care, Janice
