Dreaming in Wisconsin!!!

What am I dreaming of here in Wisconsin you ask???
I'm dreaming of Spring of course!!!
This is what I woke up to this fine Wednesday morning ~
It rained all day yesterday and all through the night.
It lightening and thundered and the temps started to drop.
So I woke up to everything covered not with snow but with ICE!

Lets take a look around ~
(click on pics to enlarge to get a better view)

I'm Dreaming of warm spring breezes ~

I'm Dreaming of the smell after a gentle rain ~

I'm Dreaming of fresh linens on the line~

I'm Dreaming of seeing the first buds of life to appear ~

I'm Dreaming of walking barefoot in the soft grass ~

I'm Dreaming of sowing those first seeds ~

I'm Dreaming of warmth from the sun ~

I'm Dreaming of watching the birds build their nests ~

Then my power went out while I was writing this post and everything went dark ~
Oh No ~ the sump pump isn't running ~ after that everything spiraled out of control!
I had to carry buckets of water out of the basement to keep the water from flowing into the furnace,
After a couple of times of going up and down the steps the steps got slippery ~
Yep you guessed it ~
I fell down the steps
I landed face first into the concrete floor
I was soaked ~ the water was pass my ankles
I'm so Thankful I didn't get knocked out ~ because they probably would of put it on the news about some women that drowned in her basement!!!
I managed to crawl up the steps ( it was soooooo dark) and call my son for help.
(Thank-You Michael!!!)
I'm O.K. ~ My face is scraped up, I have a fat lip, my whole right side of my body is bruised along with my pride. Tomorrow will be another day ~ we'll see how I feel then.

We're suppose to get hit with another storm tonight ~ Ugh
There are some people in our surrounding areas that still don't have power ~ I pray for them ~ please be safe.

With all that I'm signing off ~

Until Next Time

Let's all say a prayer
for all the people around the country
that have been hit by some nasty storms today.
Be safe my Friend!

Blessings
Robin

Oh Robin, I was thinking about how pretty that ice made everything till I read further into your post.
What an aweful day it turned out to be. I'm glad you didn't make the news by drowning in our basement.
I hope you aren't to stiff and sore in the morning, and our basement doesn't sustain to much damage.
I sure hope spring finds you soon, and you have a much better day tomorrow.

Robin, you saved the worst for last in your post - I'm glad you were not injured worse than you were, which sounds pretty bad! I am so over this. Now we might get 11 inches by Saturday and flood warnings for other areas here. I pray you and others STAY SAFE! ~*~Lisa

Hi Robin, what a day! I am so thankful that you didn't get hurt!
I know you will be sore for awhile.
We had snow several times last month and yesterday it was 90, it broke a record. We just don't have weather like this in April, I will try to send some your way. Hopefully this will be the last of the bad weather for you. hugs, Lecia

Hello Robin-
We got the snow here, North of Black Creek. About 3 inches. We were shoveling and plowing yesterday. And oh so Cold. Glad to hear that you are okay and weren't hurt worse than you were. Oh my! Saying a Prayer for you and others in theses storms. Glad to here your son was able to come and help. Take Care!

OMG, Robin, my heart skipped a beat when I read you fell down the stairs. I am thankful your son was home and that you're okay.

We heard on the news about the snow storms your way. Do I dare tell you it's in the 80s here, I was wearing flip flops yesterday?!

Take it easy today!

Blessings and hugs

I've been away from Wisconsin for 21 years and miss everything about living there except for times like this. I am so glad things weren't as bad as they could have been and you weren't badly hurt. Be safe.

Oh my goodness Robin - that ice is awful but so was your fall!!! Glad you were able to help yourself up.
We were going to head up to my brother/sister in laws this morning (past the Dells in Adams) and he called last night and suggested we not come as the ice was heavy and were to get more.
Wow!!!
So I didn't get over to Country Freckles like I wanted to. She was having the hookers today too - wonder if they showed up if it's that bad.

Glad you are okay though and that the healing is fast.

Oh my--I'm glad your power is back on, hope your body is feeling better soon.
We've went from 70 degrees to in the 30's and I saw a few flurries that petered out. I sure hope the storm blows past you. We need spring!!

You poor thing!! Hope your body heals quickly. The ice is pretty, but I am so thankful we live where we haven't had ice like that, ever. I am dreaming of spring too! We got tons more snow and the wind today helped melt most of it. Now it's raining with a little snow mixed in. I can't wait for days where it's warm enough in the morning to sit on the deck with a cuppa!

Oh my goodness, Robin! I'm so glad you weren't hurt worse. How awful. We're having a cold spring too, but now I feel guilty for moaning and groaning because at least we haven't had snow and ice. Take care and hope you are doing better. ~Roberta
