I didn't get as much done as I was hoping to but I did manage to get all the pictures taken and cropped. I listed some of the signs on my website, tomorrow I'm hoping to finish listing the rest of my items I finished so far. I did get some stitching done and as soon as I get done here I going to continue. Cutting out the patterns is going to have to wait until tomorrow. The life of a crafter!
Here is some of the signs I listed today. Hop on over to the website to see more! Thanks for stopping by!

Getting ready for a photo shoot!
Well slowly but surely I'm getting there! Today is the day I'm going to get some things added to my website. Hopefully nothing will stand in the way!
It looks like my day is going to busy, I have lots of things on my to do list. I have stockings to make, some stitching to do, some ornies to finish, and if there is any time left I'll cut some more patterns out. Oh where do I start?
So keep watching, I'll keep you posted.

Getting ready for the Holidays
I've been blog hopping again and everyone is showcasing their holiday wares. Everyone's blogs look so nice, I feel very behind. I didn't even get all my Halloween stuff listed on my website. I wish I was better at setting up my blog it is not as easy as it looks. My pictures don't go where I would like them to. Whats up with that?
There are a lot of blogs that have some awesome giveaways! The Primitive Bucket has a awesome snowman giveaway check out her website.
There is also a holiday blog hop going on at the Buttermilk Basin you should check that out too! They will feature an artist from Nov 2nd thru Nov. 10th every Tuesday and Friday.
I've been working on some signs again and hopefully I will get them on the website within the next week or so. Weather permitting! I do have some dolls and other items I've been working on too but like I said I feel very behind compared to some of the other blogs I been reading. Oh Well! I'll blame it on there isn't enough time in a day!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Happy Halloween to all, I hope you all have a frightfully good time! This is my favorite holiday and I'm like a kid filled with excitement for what this night might bring. I of course will dress up for the trick or treaters. My house is all decked out as a haunted house with spooky music playing and life size props. Who will be scared tonight?
After the trick or treating is over we will take a ride out to Spooky Hollow and see whats happening out there. They set up an awesome haunted display for children as well as for the adults. You stay in your car and drive through and there is people walking around your car dressed up in scary costumes I must admit I've been scared there before. Well I must get going its almost time for the parade to start and I have to get ready.

Dale Fire Cancer Walk
I just got home from the Dale Fire Cancer Walk. What A Great Success! Kudos to the people that participated in this event. They estimated about 250 people walked for cancer. They raised about $14,235.00 for their first annual walk. Next year it will be even better! I Thank the Dale Fire Dept. for putting together this event, it means a lot to the people in our community, and to the people that are suffering with this terrible disease. Thanks for all your hard work, dedication and the awesome breakfast you served us after the event.
Thanks also to the people that participated and to the people that sponsored us on this walk. Without you none of this could have been possible.
Blessing to you all! Robin from the Primitive Hutch._

Weekend Adventures/Happy Birthday Uncle Bruce
Had a great time this past weekend. I did go to the flea market and found some good deals on some door knobs for my pin keeps and I found some old bottles for a couple of bucks. It was very cold and windy out on Sat. a lot of the vendors were packing up early because it was just to cold and their wares were getting blown around. I still enjoyed my day there. After the flea market I went to the fabric store and picked up a few items I needed for some Halloween projects I want to work on for my Halloween displays. Here we go again some more projects! Then I went home to relax for a little while before I had to go help at the restaurant. Sunday will be a new day!
Sunday my sister Dawn and I went to the craft show in Greenville there were a lot of people out that day. The sun was out and it wasn't as cold as Saturday. There was so many vendors there it was hard to decide what to buy, but I didn't go home empty handed I found some awesome fall and Halloween decorations. It was a great time! After that we headed back to my sisters house for lunch and to watch some of the Packer game. We couldn't eat to much we were going out to eat later for her birthday and Uncle Bruces birthday-O'Charleys here we come! We all had a great time at the birthday party the food, service, and the company couldn't have been better. Uncle Bruce turned 85 this year but he will tell you he is 58! Uncle Bruce is also my last living uncle, he is married to Aunt Tootie (I wrote a post earlier about her) and he still works hard helping out on the farm. I hope I have as much energy as he does when I turn 85. Uncle Bruce you are a great guy and I hope you have many more Birthdays to come. But remember birthdays are like boogers the more you have the harder it is to breathe.

It's good to be home

South Dakota was great! If you never have been there you should plan a trip there. We did so many things, there is so much to see and do. Some of the things we did and saw were the Corn Palace in Mitchell, Wall Drug (You gotta go to Wall Drug!) Air and Space Museum, Custer State Park, Rapid City, Sturgis, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, Needles Highway (that was an experience!), Bear Country the Badlands and sooo much more. We even went over to Wyoming to see Devils Tower. We didn't get to see alot of things we wanted to do so I believe we will have to go back. I really enjoyed our vacation. I really enjoyed seeing the wildlife in the state parks and the beauty of it all. There is also a lot of history to learn in South Dakota. I realized when we got home and looked at the video that I should not be allowed to run the camera. I taped more of the inside of our truck then I did of our surroundings!LOL But at least we got some beautiful pictures, thanks to my husband. Now that we are home I have a lot of catching up to do. I been working on a lot of signs since we got back, hopefully tonight I will get them on the website.

Going on vacation!
I've been very busy this past week. We got laid off from work at Sunset Hill Stoneware this week so I tried to take advantage of the time off. I must have sanded thirty or more boards, my hand is still vibrating. I finished some signs to put on my website, the weather hasn't been cooperating, it has been to humid to spray them. I had some special orders that I did finish ~YEAH! If I haven't said it once I'll say it again there just isn't enough time in the day! I have three more days to work on my projects before we leave for South Dakota! I can't wait to get away for a few days. I haven't had a vacation in three years. We were suppose to go to Germany this year but plans fell through, so my husband and I decided to get away and go traveling. My husband loves to take pictures so he chose to go to South Dakota. I can't wait! We have a whole agenda planned, I hope we get it all in. I'll let ya all know how it went when we get back.
Well I suppose I better keep going, I got boards to stain and doll dresses to get done before we leave.
Hope you all have a great labor day weekend! ~Enjoy~ Robin from the Primitive Hutch

Fall Decorations

Oh I love this time a year when the shops are getting their fall decorations out. Halloween is my favorite holiday! So on Sunday Aug. 15th we went to Gold 'n Country Gifts in Weyauwega. WI Oh what a great shop, she has a lot of metal garden art to choose from and believe me it's hard to choose. We really enjoy going to her shop her motto is to repurpose/ reuse. You can really find awesome stuff there from antiques, primitives, used furniture and of course her metal garden art. I bought this awesome milk can with a pumpkin face cut out and an oil can that also has a pumpkin face cut out. I'll be going back there to shop.
Crazy Days in Tomah, WI

On Aug.7th my niece and I went to Tomah, WI for crazy days. We kinda got lost on our way there but we figured it out it was kinda like going around the block.LOL. They have some nice primitive shops in Tomah. We went to Gatherings by Cranberries'n Such, and found a lot of good deals I purchased a lot of towels, placemats, napkins (great for tucking in baskets, bowls, and using under center pieces. I also got some pottery. Then we went to Country Spirit (www.shopcountryspirit.com) They have awesome outdoor items and hand painted pictures N such. I found some beautiful fall flowers there and some spring decorations that were 1/2 off. What a deal! We continued on down Superior St. and went to The Market Place (www.marketplacetomah.com) this is my favorite primitive shop she has two floors just packed to the brim. Oh what to buy! She has primitives and extreme primitives, a lot of her items are handcrafted and her displays are awesome. I spent way to much money. After shopping at her shop we headed back up Superior St. and stopped at the Cranberry Country Mall before heading home. At the Cranberry Country Mall you will find Lucy's Lazy Dayz (lucyslazydayzprimitives.com) boy does she have wonderful handcrafted dolls and makedo's can't leave there without picking up something.
We wanted to go to Princeton after we were done in Tomah but we spent to much time at the shops there so we didn't make it. (not enough time in a day) We will plan another day to go to Princeton to the flea market and antique shops. You have to go there a least once during the summer months.

Happy Birthday Aunt Tootie
Happy 80th Birthday Aunt Tootie!
Today was a wonderful day! We went to Uncle Bruce and Aunt Tootie's farm for a Birthday surprise. All of her children were there and some of her grandchildren and my sisters and their family. It was a great celebration we had awesome food, some good drinks and great conversation. Aunt Tootie read all of her birthday cards out loud and made us all cry, it was suppose to be a joyous occasion but when Aunt Tootie would choke up you couldn't help the tears from flowing. At least it wasn't raining! But it defiantly was hot! I hope you have many more birthdays to come! So here's to you ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Love Robin
This is what it said in her birthday card that I gave her I thought it fit her to a tee.
Hope you'll find time to sit back for a minute to savor your world and the Happy things in it...
The love and the friendship (the ice cream and cake!) the things you believe in, the difference you make...
The smiles and the laughter, the good that you do, the work and the fun and the dreams that come true...
The Pleasure of just being Wonderful You! Happy Birthday!
Aunt Tootie is my last living aunt and she is a wonderful person with a big heart, she has a great sense of humor, she works hard, she's always there for you, always, always has a hug for you and her laugh is contagious!
Please take the time to cherish the memories with family and friends and wish them a Happy Birthday! Prim Blessings! Robin from The Primitive Hutch

ART in the Park, Appleton WI
Today my sister and I went to ART in the Park in Appleton, WI. What a lot of talented artist, Kudos to them. We saw a lot of unique and one of a kind artists, some stood out more than others. It is fun and exciting to watch some of them do their art right there and then see the end results. The weather was perfect today! No rain in sight. I bought a few items from the show today so hard to choose I wish I could have bought more. Going to shows like this gives you so much inspiration.
I met a little girl Kaili she is going to grow up to be an artist! What a talented girl she was trying her hand at the portrait drawing. Kaili you keep practicing and someday I will see you in one of the booths at ART in the Park! Thanks for letting me take your picture. Your Awesome!

Rain Rain Go Away!

Hello to Everyone! Sorry I haven't blogged for awhile. Been very busy. Since my last post we had Yesterday in the Park June 26th (4th of July celebration) Great food, awesome music and spectacular fireworks! Then it was the big 4th of July weekend of course had to go to some flea markets! Found some awesome antique door knobs for my pinkeep bunnies. I've also been trying to work on some more creations for the store. I did add about 20 more signs and some more homespun items. ~ENJOY!~ We've also had the grand kids baseball games to go to. And then there is the rain! It has been raining off and on now for the last week. Some storms more severe then others, my husband has been taking pictures I'll try to post some for you to see. Of course as I started blogging it was raining now when I look outside it looks like it has stopped, maybe I should go for a bike ride quick before it starts again.
Looks like this weekend is going to be a busy one again. We have a family reunion on my husbands side to go to on Sat. and then on Sun. we are going to go to Art in the Park in Appleton WI. Doesn't that sound like Fun!
Well it's been fun! I'll write again soon! Prim Blessings Robin
